To all of our members/watchers,

Lately we've been having some issues with a few of the members submitting their artwork to the wrong folders.  Usually what will happen is either myself or one of the other administrators will kindly let you know which folder to submit your work to if you happen to submit to the wrong one.  It's ok that this happens from time to time, just be careful and please respect the administrators.

However, it's unacceptable when the members get snappy and rude when the administrators are trying to do their job by regulating the group.  When you do submit a piece of artwork that goes to the wrong folder or if the piece doesn't follow the group rules, the administrators will let you know this.  That is THEIR job as an administrator.  Be respectful to them when they're doing their job for the group as they are respectful in letting you know in a kind manner.  Please show that respect back as we are here to help promote hard working artists and their artwork out there for deviantART to see.  You also cannot submit work from a third party source.  We just recently had an example of someone trying to submit something that they screenshot from YouTube.  This is against group rules.  It has to be YOUR OWN ARTWORK.

I will also leave a list here on this blog entry, as well as on the group's page, about what folder means what so you know which one you're submitting to:

Featured Folder
    ~You do not submit anything to the featured folder.  The featured folder contains a selection by myself or one of the administrators that are exceptional and inspirational to us as artists.

Contest Entries
    ~This folder is usually closed for any submissions except for contest entries.  It's only open if the group is hosting a contest, otherwise nothing goes into this folder.

Digital Artwork
    ~ This folder is for artwork that was created by digital means on a computer.  This includes photoshop/sai/other paint programs paintings, photomanipulations, etc.

Traditional Artwork
    ~This folder is for artwork that was created by traditional means.  This includes pencil pieces, oil pastels, traditional paints, etc (Anything that you created by hand)

Fanart
    ~This should be obvious.  Anything that's copyrighted goes here.  Examples include Sonic, Harry Potter, Skyrim, anything goes into here, regardless if it's digital or traditional.

Literature
    ~Again, this should be obvious.  This folder includes pieces you've written.  Can include chapters of stories, poems, short stories, etc.

Linearts and WIP's
    ~This folder is for uncoloured works or works in progresses only (you can also submit scraps as well).

Photography
    ~This folder contains photographs that you've personally taken with a camera and such.  

Arts and Crafts
    ~This folder is for handmade stuff that you've made (like crafting jewelry, origami, sculptures, etc).

Animations
    ~This folder is for, well, animations.  This can include like moving pictures, maybe some cut scenes you've made, or even a very small game or something like that.

Icons
    ~Again, this should be obvious.  Icons that you've specifically made.

Stamps
    ~Obvious... folder specifically for stamps.

Designs
    ~This folder can have pieces that have intricate designs on them and such.

Comics
    ~Again, obvious.  Folder for comics.

Misc.
    ~This folder is for pieces that don't fit into the other categories that are listed above.

CSS Journal Skins
    ~Again, obvious.  Folder for journal skins that you've personally created.

I Want Critique
    ~ This folder is for those who want people to critique their work.  However, I can't guarantee that people will critique, but I can at least encourage those who have the time to do so to take a look through this folder to help our fellow artists out

If you submit to the wrong folder, your submission WILL BE DECLINED.  One of the administrators will advise you on which folder to submit your work to so please be respectful.  I don't want there to be any arguments on this since this is the group rule and were thus created at the time the group was created.

HOW TO JOIN

Just click on the "Join" request button on the top of the group page and your request will automatically be accepted! ^^

HOW TO SUBMIT

The group accepts all kinds of artwork as long as it's your own and follows the group rules.    We do not focus on quality, we focus on all artists of all skill levels!
Just click on the "Contribute Art" button on the top of the page and select the correct folder to submit your work to and it will go into submission up for review.  This is to make sure they're going where they're supposed to (like if it was done by traditional means, then you submit to the "Traditional" art folder).

RULES

Do not submit to the featured folder.  Please pick the correct folder to submit your work to.
It has to be your own artwork.  It cannot be stolen.
3 submissions a day.  All will be accepted.
The artwork would have to follow the rules and guidelines by deviantART: [link]
You would have to pick the correct category to submit your artwork into.
No explicit submissions. This includes but not limited to:
 - excessive blood/gore, sexual explicit material, implied sexual innuendos or depictions of any other inappropriate subject matter, whether implied or obvious.
 - Artistic nudity is acceptable at the staff's discretion

FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THE RULES WILL RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION, UP TO AND INCLUDING BEING BANNED FROM THE GROUP.

Only 3 submissions a day please.  Please make sure that you're submitting to the correct folder.  Also please make sure to have fun and to respect all of the members here within the group.
